The automatic knob is used on continuous burning stoves with automatic combustion assistance to set the operating mode: automatic or manual operation. By setting the automatic knob to automatic, a bimetal is adjusted. This bimetal (a type of sensor) regulates the air supply for combustion in the stove without manual adjustment. This ensures a consistent combustion.
