Firebox coating 750 ml black

With the colored firebox coating, you can quickly and easily create an individual firebox. One color for your ceramic firebox lining made of fireclay or vermiculite. At the same time, you achieve a hardening of the surface, which increases the lifespan of the lining.

The firebox paint for vermiculite, Thermax, or fireclay is available in black. Depending on the substrate, the color may change to dark gray after application.

Consumption: 1 bottle with 750 ml is sufficient for approx. 3.0 to 3.5 sqm of surface

Temperature resistance: up to approx. 1100 °C

Usable on: vermiculite or fired fireclay

Application: Shake the bottle before use so that the entire content is well mixed. The substrate must be clean and firm and must not have any soot deposits! The coating is applied using a short-fiber glaze roller and/or a brush. Please wear gloves and safety goggles during application, as the dispersion irritates eyes and skin. The drying time is several hours at room temperature.

WARNING: Not suitable for unfired refractory concrete. The form oil/form release oil penetrates the refractory concrete. In some areas, these surfaces cannot be covered with the paint. Flaking occurs. It can be seen that the paint has not penetrated the stone. This is not a defect but improper handling.

It is also important that in already used fireboxes, the surface is coated with soot and these soot deposits cannot be completely cleaned by wiping. Stains may form after applying the paint.
