A characteristic feature of glass ceramic panes is their very low expansion at different temperatures. Glass ceramic is therefore installed in the oven or fireplace because it can withstand the large temperature differences.

Remember that when you change the glass pane on the fireplace, the corresponding seal on the stove glass should also be replaced. A sealing cord wears out and is no longer elastic enough. It can then no longer adapt optimally to the new pane. This minimal wear can lead to leaks, which are associated with excessively high exhaust gas temperatures. Combustion efficiency decreases and your heater uses too much fuel. So order the right seal at the same time.
