Throttle valve without axle for subsequent installation in various sizes
Throttle valves are used to regulate the chimney draft. If there is no throttle valve installed in the stove pipe itself, this throttle valve can be used without a continuous axis for subsequent installation.
The throttle valve is a metal plate that can be installed in the stove pipe. This has a continuous axle with a 10 mm steel handle. This handle will be located outside the stovepipe after installation. This allows the throttle valve to be turned open and closed.
The chimney draft should only be regulated if regulation via the primary and secondary air slides does not bring any improvement.
A high draft ensures that the fire starts well, but the heat generated is also dissipated quickly. Correct adjustment of the throttle valve reduces this enormously.
If the stove or fireplace is not used for a long time, the throttle valve should also be closed. However, the next time you heat up, you have to make sure that it is opened again. If this is not the case, a large cloud of smoke awaits you at the installation site. The exhaust gases cannot then escape and the chimney draft is too low.
